We have had a fun week since our last post...we are going to try to most more often that once every three months! Our big event this week was to head to Waseca to celebrate Grandpa Nelson's birthday. It was fun to spend some quality time together!
Here are a few pics at home this past week...
Henrik is really starting to enjoy his baby Legos, even if he just bangs them together at this point! Alex is pumped for the day they can actually play with Legos together!
Rocking the faux hawk!
H and Scout are continuing to bond...she brings him toys and he tries to pull on them. We're just glad that she doesn't bite him when he manages to grab a fist full of fur!
Riding in the toy bin!
Tastes so nice!
H had so much fun eating spaghetti at Grandma and Grandpa Nelson's he got it all over himself and in his hair...time for a bath!
To celebrate Grandpa Nelson's big day we went to an apple orchard to enjoy a fun day of autumnal activities. We went to Minnesota Harvest and it was great! The orchard was taken over by new ownership about three years ago and they have done a fantastic job of rebuilding. I would highly recommend checking out this place!
We started the day off with a little brunch at the orchard. H loves his uncle Joey!
H has gotten his two lower, front teeth in the last week...you can sort of see them in this picture!
Titi Colie and Uncle Derek...only one week until their wedding!
Loaded up into the backpack and ready to pick apples!
On the wagon, headed out to pick our apples
Although the leaves haven't changed yet, it was a beautiful fall day!
Gotta find the right one!
Hello!
Alex was more than willing to share his apple, but Henrik wasn't too interested.
Hmmm...something is not right with this tree!
I got it!
The Nelson Crew! Happy Birthday Grandpa Nelson!
All that apple picking wore our little guy out! We figured we'd grab the stroller so he could snooze while Dad launched apples!
The goal is to launch apples into giant apple crates out in the field in front of the stands. Alex and Joey tried with all of their might...
...Alex may have bought a couple of turns...
...and now for the bride and groom. When we asked Colie which box she was aiming for, she said she had no idea, she was just happy to be here! And then...
She smoked it! She hit the crate and won a bag of apples! Way to go bride!
The new owners have added a small barnyard which they are hoping to expand in the future, it's really cute! Unfortunately, H slept through the barnyard tour! He'll have to check out the goats next time!
After the orchard we made a stop at the giant yellow candy store on 169 to check out the selection! H woke up, so he got to see the pumpkins and the huge variety of candy and soda!
They have the craziest kinds of soda ever! Some of the most bizarre flavors include: Ranch Dressing flavor, Sweet Corn, Bacon and Cookie Dough!
SO tired after a big day of fun!
