The Nelson Family: Colie and Derek's Wedding and a Slumber Party with the Lowes!

Alex's sister Colie got married on September 21st, so we all headed to Ames, Iowa for a destination wedding! It was a wonderful weekend, the weather was great, and it was so fun to see all the Nelson family and friends! Colie and Derek had a beautiful wedding, and a great party afterwards! We brought Nana Leese with us to be the nanny - and she did a fantastic job! We kept her running all weekend from the hotel to various wedding activities, in hopes of keeping H on somewhat of a schedule. Overall, he did great, and only had meltdowns if he saw Alex or me when we were busy and unable to hold him. He even took a nap in his stroller Friday afternoon while we decorated the reception hall! We know that the days of mobile napping are short lived, so we are utilizing them while we can! Alex and I ended up having so much fun on the wedding day, we barely took any pictures. We did try to squeeze in a family photo while everyone's outfits were still clean :)

The weekend after the Tramp nuptials was the annual Autumn Brew Review in Minneapolis. As fans of good craft beer, this is an event that we have enjoyed with our friends for several years. Jen, Hadley, Kellan and Quinten were gracious enough to offer to have H sleep over at their house so that we could enjoy the beer,...it was his first slumber party! Erik was out of commission for the weekend as it was the MN v. Iowa football game and his buddies were in town...this left Jen and the four kids! Being the rock star mom that she is, this was no problem for her!

Hads jumped into the caregiver role immediately! She is a pro at feeding baby H - she enjoys it, and he LOVES watching her!

She realized quickly, that H's little cobra hand can be quite the challenge to the person feeding him...she just pinned his left arm down and solved the problem!

Hello guys!

H is loving life as a table food eater...whatever we eat, he eats - and sometimes puts into hair! Here is shot of the eggs we had for breakfast one morning...apparently they make a nice hair gel!

We do not have a crawler yet...but we have a scooter! He is working hard to figure out how to get those knees and hands to move together - for the mean time he just worms around.
